Island Krk is located in the heart of the Northen Adriatic, in Kvarner. It is only 2 hours driving apart from the capitol city Zagreb and is connected to the mainland with the Bridge of Krk.

Island of Krk is well known for it's historical beuty of the Old Town of the City of Krk, Francopan Castle and stone walls, for original Croatian wine "Vrbnička žlahtina", for the smallest street in the world located in Vrbnik and for the beutiful long beaches of Baška.

Krk summer festival

16th July 2004- 27th August 2004 in the city of Krk is being held traditional summer music-theatre manifestation, since the year 1957. The program of the Krk Summer Festival includes concert performances (from clasic to contemporary music), ballet and folk dancing, and is being performed by renowned Croatian and foreign artists. The performances are held in the open and in Old Town of the City of Krk, in historical buildings such as are Town Cathedral, Francopan Castle and Franciscan monastery.
